United Surface Prep is a key supplier for the construction of U.S. Bank Stadium, the Minnesota Viking’s new NFL stadium set to open next year. With this honor, we feel like we’ve scored a touchdown in our industry! This is a great opportunity for us to work with contractors using our products and equipment for concrete polishing at the new stadium, which is located right here in our home state.
Construction of U.S. Bank Stadium is showing a lot of progress recently, and excitement is building among Viking fans and everyone affiliated with the project. The Viking’s public relations team offers updated aerial construction photos of the new stadium on a regular basis, and everyone involved in the stadium’s construction boasts about the design.
According to the Viking’s website, the new stadium “exhibits a bold, progressive design and combines efficient functionality with stunning architecture.” Among the most unique features of the stadium will be its transparent ETFE “clear roof,” plus an entire glass wall that overlooks the downtown Minneapolis skyline, and also “the world’s largest pivoting glass doors.” It’s an exciting project for sure, and we’re proud to be a part of it!
As for our contribution we are helping the crew grind and polish over 400,00 square feet of concrete flooring! Equipment on site nclude two 270 HTC Edgers, Ermator vacuums and a variety of hand grinders. Alongside them are the LS Densifier and LS Grind N’ Fill. We couldn’t be more excited to see the finish floors to match the new stadium’s impressive concept.
